Things to Carry on Northeast Tour

  • Important Documents : You must carry your original ID-Proofs along with photocopies. You must carry all the necessary travel-related documents and permissions, Covid vaccination certificates, and extra passport-size photos of each member.
  • Pack Right : Carry full sleeves and light winter wares with you. In case you are traveling to Arunachal Pradesh, then you have to carry heavy winter wares. Carry 1-2 pairs of extra clothes, as the northeast gets showered with rainfall frequently! Umbrella and rain cover for your luggage are a must.
  • Medical Box : A medical kit consisting of pain relievers, ointments, Paracetamol, and anti-diarrhea medication along with Band-Aid, bandages, mosquito repellent, and antiseptics, is a must thing to carry while you are traveling.
  • ILP/PAP/RAP Permits : To visit some of Northeast India's states, if you are an Indian, then you need to get an Inner Line Permit (ILP). For foreign tourists, ILP and Protected Area Permits (PAP) or Restricted Area Permits (RAP) are needed.

The biggest river island in the World, Majuli Island is located in this state. Shivsagar is a must visiting place. MANIPUR

The literal meaning of Manipur is well justified as it means "The Land of Jewels". Manipur is ornamented with some real gems of vibrant landscapes, undulating hills, green valleys, and misty grey mountains. The only floating national park in the world, the Loktak Lake is the major asset of Manipur. Imphal, the capital city has its own charm to amaze tourists. You can also visit Moirang to feel the wilderness of Manipur. For trekking, natural beauty, and cave experience, you can visit Ukhrul as well.

MIZORAM

Mizoram, "The Land of Blue Mountains" is the remotest state of India with the lowest number of tourists. Phawngpui Peak is the highest peak in Mizoram. Champahai is the border town with Myanmar and is known as "The Rice Bowl of Mizoram". NAGALAND

Each tribe is distinguishable by individual colorful costumes and jewelry and beads. The annual Hornbill Festival held in December is the major tourist attraction in Nagaland. The major attractions of Nagaland are, Kohima and around, Khonoma, Mokokchung, Mon, and the recently added Dzukou Valley, the fascinating trekking destination.

Tripura tucked away as the corner most state of the seven sister states. It was once a princely state, and the shreds of evidence are still seen in the building, roads, and culture of Tripura. The state has a unique confluence of nature, history, and wilderness. The Ujjayanta Palace in Agartala, the Neermahal of Melaghar, and the lakes and palaces of Udaipur amaze every visitor with their elegance. Unakoti: The place is known for its bas-relief structures on the face of the mountain ranges. Unakoti is shrouded in forests and vegetation has interesting mythology behind it.
